| Michigan Department of Corrections Van Involved in Auto Accident |

In Ionia, Michigan, police say that a head on auto accident occurred on the corner of West Main and Wall Streets by the entrance to the Michigan Reformatory. Sources report that the accident involved a prisoner transport van for the Michigan Department of Corrections which was driven by employee Mike Thompson. The other vehicle involved was a sedan that was driven by Dillon Youngstrom.
Witnesses who saw the car accident told police that Youngstrom was traveling westbound when he attempted to turn to access the drive to the Michigan Reformatory before entering the direct path of the van which was also traveling westbound. The van crashed into Youngstrom's side door.
Youngstrom became trapped in his vehicle and had to be extracted with the "Jaws of Life". He was then taken to Spectrum Hospital for medical treatment.
Police say that there were 12 prisoners in the van and they were transported from the scene of the crash to the Michigan Department of Corrections where they were checked for injuries.

| Three-Vehicle Accident Leaves People with Injuries in Detroit |

On Tuesday morning of last week, police say that a man from Detroit Lake and an infant from White Earth were among the victims who suffered injuries during a three vehicle car accident on Highway 59 South.
Police report that the accident took place at 9 AM when a 1994 Ford Escort suddenly stopped to make a left turn onto County Road 22. The car was then rear-ended by a 1993 Buick Park Avenue, which was then hit from behind by a 1994 Chevy pickup truck that had been pushed into the first car.
Three people inside of the Park Avenue had to be transported to St. Mary's Essentia hospital in Detroit Lakes to receive treatment for injuries. New sources say their injuries were not documented or were listed as being non-life-threatening in nature.
The driver of the first vehicle, 35-year-old Anthony R. Goulet, did not suffer any injuries. However, 41-year-old Christopher D. Wacker was injured while operating the third car.

| Bizarre Drunk Driving Accident in Detroit Causes Injury |

In Detroit, a bizarre drunk driving accident was reported last Thursday night after a drunk woman knocked over a gas pump and started a fire and also caused another person to sustain injuries.
Police responded to the auto accident at the Holiday gas station at 9:59 PM after someone reported that a vehicle was on fire. The learned that 42-year-old Gayleen Schulz-Mohamed exited the gas station , backed up, hit a few barricades and then pulled forward and crashed into another car. She then headed northwest and hit a gas pump and then another. When she struck the second pump, 29-year-old Jessica Endres was putting gas into her vehicle.
Endres reportedly suffered bruises, scrapes and a large gash on her arm. The gas pump started on fire while Schulz-Mohamed struck a third car before a gas station employee shut off the vehicle and jerked her out of the car.
Police say that Endres was taken to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital and Schulz-Mohamed was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated and criminal vehicle operation.

| Grandmother and Grandson Invovled in Rollover Accident |

In Detroit, police officers are saying a grandmother was killed and her grandson was injured after a car accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Police say that the grandmother was driving a SUV left on I-96 between Outer Drive and Evergreen Avenue when the vehicle rolled over.
The grandmother, who was 53 years old, was driving a Ford Explorer that veered off the road at 4:00 PM. The vehicle then struck a nearby tree and ended up on I-96. Sergeant Eren Stephens said that the nine-year-old grandson suffered non-threatening injuries during the collision.
Police report that neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. At this time, the names of the victims have not been disclosed to the public.

| Multi-Vehicle Accident Leads to Injuries |

In Grand Rapids, Michigan, it is reported that law enforcement agents are in the midst of cleaning up the scene of a three vehicle accident, which occurred in Kent County.
The car accident happened earlier this week just before 6:00 AM at the intersection of Belding Road and Wolverine. Michigan State Trooper Roberto Anaya said that a car was turning right onto Wolverine. While turning, the vehicle pulled in front of a garbage truck that as traveling southbound. The truck driver was unable to stop on time and was not only hit by the car, but also a white van that was traveling on Belding Road.
Police say that the river of the car was issued a ticket. At least one of the vehicle's passengers had to be taken to a local hospital to receive treatment for non-life threatening injuries. Police are still investigating.

| Four injured in Major Motor Vehicle Accident |

In Zeeland Township, Michigan, it is reported that a major motor vehicle accident resulted in four people suffering injuries. One of the individuals is reported to have suffered serious injuries.
The auto accident involved two vehicles and occurred at the intersection of Quincy Street and 72nd Avenue. According to reports, a van carrying five people crossed the path of an oncoming vehicle, which led to the collision.
Three of the people in the van suffered injuries, including a 63 year old woman who was reportedly partially ejected from the van at the time of the cash. The woman had to be rushed to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids and is said to have suffered serious head injuries. The two other injured van passengers were taken to local hospitals in the Zeeland area.
