Child Attacked By Pit Bull

Last week three pit bulls attacked a 6-year-old child in the Lansing area and bit the child on the arm. When police and animal control arrived on the scene, they gave chase to the animals before finally cornering them. At that point it is being reported that one of pit bulls, foaming at the mouth, charged at an officer who then shot the dog. The other 2 dogs were sedated by animal control. The story did not give any details of the injuries sustained by the child but from the viscous nature of the dogs, it would seem that the child is extremely lucky.
