Movie Set Shut Down after Workplace Accident

A movie being filmed in Toronto is on a temporary standstill after several people were injured.

The incident, which is being referred to as a workplace accident, happened when a platform shifted and created a hole into which several cast and crew members fell. While none of the injuries were life threatening, ten people were transported to area hospitals to be treated.

As with any workplace accident that happens in Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Labour has started an investigation into the incident. A representative will determine what caused the accident and whether the movie set is a safe and healthy work environment to continue filming.
