Pit Bulls Attack Washington Man And His Dog
It is being reported out of Washington that a man was playing catch with his 3-year-old German shepherd across from
Juanita
Bay
Park
in an area where a man had his 3 unleashed pit bulls nearby.
Suddenly, the three pit bulls charged and began attacking the German shepherd.
Both owners fought to stop the attack and things calmed down.
Then suddenly the pit bulls attacked again going after the German shepherd and his owner.
In an effort to protect himself, the German shepherd owner pulled a firearm which he was legally carrying and fired, wounding one dog and scaring the others away.
The owner of the pit bulls then rounded up his dogs and took them away, one to the vet for treatment.
Being the victim of a dog bite or any type of
animal attack is not only frightening, but it leaves a victim at risk of facing permanent scarring or disfigurement. Depending upon the size of the dog and the size, weight and strength of the victim, a dog can cause serious injuries or even death. Unfortunately, almost half of all dog bite victims are children. Because of their small stature, children are more likely to sustain injury to the face, head or neck. Treatment for any dog bite injury may be very expensive. This is one of the main reasons it is so crucial to talk to a lawyer about your case and recovering compensation.
