Two Pit Bulls Attack Two People And Pet Dog
It is being reported out of Iowa that two pit bulls attacked a veterinary technician student and her dog as they were leaving the woman's home. Apparently the two pit bulls broke free with from the woman that was holding their leashes and went for the other dog and started tearing him apart. The student and the other woman tried to get the pit bulls off the dog but they were bit as well. It is being reported that a neighbor donning leather gloves tried to beat the dogs off with a hammer but they were un-phased. Finally, police arrived and one dog was shot. The other pit bull was put down. The student's dog initially survived the attack but also had to be put down due to his injuries. The exact nature of the women's injuries is unknown.
Being the victim of a dog bite or any type of
animal attack is not only frightening, but it leaves a victim at risk of facing permanent scarring or disfigurement. Depending upon the size of the dog and the size, weight and strength of the victim, a dog can cause serious injuries or even death. Unfortunately, almost half of all dog bite victims are children. Because of their small stature, children are more likely to sustain injury to the face, head or neck. Treatment for any
dog bite injury may be very expensive. This is one of the main reasons it is so crucial to talk to a
