Trial Date For Pit Bull Owners Delayed
A jury trial was scheduled to begin today against the owners of two pit bulls that mauled a 6-year-old girl on August 24. The trial has apparently been moved to April 25
th due to a conflict with the prosecutor's schedule. The owners of the pit bulls, Brian Nace and Jasmine Bailey, are each charged with keeping a dangerous animal that caused serious injury. The little girl was in the defendants' fenced yard when the pit bulls savagely attacked her. She received serious injuries especially to her head and face that caused her to spend nearly three weeks in the Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor.
