Dog That Mauled 8-Year-Old Girl Blamed In Attack On 3-Year-Old
A dog that mauled a girl in
Shelbyville,
Tennessee
in October is being blamed for yet another attack on a child.
According to news sources in
Nashville
, the pit bull attacked a 3-year-old girl last week while she was walking with her father.
Witnesses ran to save the girl but one, a city worker, was unfortunately bitten on the arm.
Animal Control officials apparently confirmed that it was the same dog that attacked an 8-year-old girl last year.
That girl ended up needing 87 stitches.
The dog was never put down because the girl was in the owner’s house when it attacked.
Because of the latest attack, the owner is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
Being the victim of a dog bite or any type of
animal attack is not only frightening, it leaves a victim at risk of facing permanent scarring or disfigurement.
A dog of any breed can cause serious injuries or even death.
Unfortunately, almost half of all
dog bite victims are children.
Because of their small stature, children are more likely to sustain injury to the face, head or neck.
