15 Year Old Seriously Injured during Truck-Bicycle Accident
A truck-bicycle accident in Genoa has left a 15-year-old boy seriously injured this week.
According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Department the accident occurred on Grand River Avenue near Tahoe Boulevard around 11 p.m. At that time Devin Allbright, 15, was riding his bicycle westbound on Grand River when he was hit by Vincent Jones, 41, driving a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck.
The teenager was rushed to the University of Michigan Hospital with severe injuries that have been described as non-life-threatening. Police are still investigating the accident and have spoken with several of Allbright's friends who believe that he was attempting to pick up something he had dropped when he was struck. At this time police do not believe that alcohol or speed were factors in this bicycle accident.
