Trial Date Set For Pit Bull Owners
Jackson County Circuit Judge John McBain scheduled the jury trial for Brian Nace and Jasmine Bailey, owners of pit bulls that mauled a 6-year-old girl. Both Nace and Bailey are charged with keeping a dangerous animal that caused serous injury. Trial is scheduled to begin February 23rd.
This criminal case stems from an attack that occurred on August 24th. At that time, 6-year-old Tyah Norris, who lives near the defendants, was in their fenced yard when multiple pit bulls owned by Nace and Bailey savagely attacked her. Little Tyah received serious injuries especially to her head and face that caused her to spend nearly three weeks in the Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.
