Man Bitten By Pit Bull While Shoveling Owner’s Drive
On Monday, a man was being a good neighbor when he tried to shovel his neighbor’s driveway on
Maryland Avenue
near
Branch Road
in
Flint
.
As he shoveled the snow, the neighbor opened the door to her house and her pit bull ran around her and out of the house.
The dog then attacked the man and bit him on the buttocks and knee.
The attack stopped when the owner pulled the dog away from her neighbor.
Being the victim of a dog bite or any type of
animal attack is not only frightening, but it leaves a victim at risk of facing permanent scarring or disfigurement. Depending upon the size of the dog and the size, weight and strength of the victim, a dog can cause serious injuries or even death. Unfortunately, almost half of all dog bite victims are children. Because of their small stature, children are more likely to sustain injury to the face, head or neck. Treatment for any dog bite injury may be very expensive. This is one of the main reasons it is so crucial to talk to a lawyer about your case and recovering compensation.
