Great Dane Snatches 6-Month-Old From Mother

We are often talking about the dangers of dogs, especially pit bulls.  Here, a Great Dane in California does the unthinkable.  A mother visits a neighbor Monday and the two are talking on the front porch when the neighbor's dog rushed out the door, grabbed the baby out of her mother's arms and ran off.  The adults chased the dog for about a hundred yards when it suddenly dropped the baby and ran home.  The baby remains hospitalized in guarded condition with a punctured lung, punctured liver and two broken ribs.  She is expected to survive.
