| 5 Year Old Girl In Critical Condition After Being Struck By School Bus |
A 5 year old girl was struck by a Detroit Public Schools bus as she and her mother were reportedly walking through the parking lot of a district bus facility at about 6 a.m. near Warren and Rosa Parks, police said. According to police, the pair should not have been in the area of the lot and were hit by a driver not expecting pedestrians in that area. The young girl suffered a broken leg and was listed in critical condition at an area hospital. The mother was not seriously injured. It was not reported if the bus driver will be issued a citation for the incident.
